Where: The Church, Mosque, Temple or Synagogue of Your Choice
Why: The Battle to Save Young Males Is Also, and Especially, a Spiritual Battle
We are calling all fathers, stepfathers, foster fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, uncles, brothers, significant male caregivers, next-door neighbors, mentors, ministers, deacons, pastors, trustees, imams, rabbis and other men, and women, to “Take A Young Male To Worship” on Sunday, November 22, 2009.
Please help us expand this program to your city and your place of worship. We have been told that some men and some faith-based institution do not know where to find Black boys because too many of them are on street corners, at night clubs, affiliated (rolling) with street organizations and in prisons and jails. Others are struggling in elementary and high schools or are working low-wage jobs.
Please ask your faith leader to participate in this program. If you wish to participate in or lead the effort in your city or at your house of worship on Sunday, November 22, 2009, or on your worship day, please call Bruce Walker at 773.285.9600 or email blackstar1000@ameritech.net. This event is for males between the ages of 2- and 32-years old.
